Put the butter, salt, sugar, and vanilla in a bowl and mix well.
Sieve the flour over the ingredients and stir gently, then knead until you get a soft, non-sticky dough.
Line baking paper on a baking tray, form discs of dough, and make a hole in the center for the jam.
Preheat the oven to 150°C.
Put the biscuits in the oven for about 15-20 minutes.
Take out the biscuits and let them cool, then spread the jam over them and serve.
